The origin and intentionality behind our name, Together, is simple: “Together” means collective unity (other definitions available 😊). We are grounded in sharing the views, perspectives, and stories of Corps Security Colleagues.
Our objective is for colleagues of the Corps Security community to embrace all dimensions of ED&I, to make Corps Security a welcoming environment in which to work, network, and to prepare both our leaders, and future leaders to better serve the needs of our diverse community. At Together, we are dedicated to making Corps Security a welcoming environment that purposefully and intentionally practices inclusive excellence, creating brave safe spaces where colleagues, no matter how they identify, may celebrate their uniqueness, and have an opportunity to be heard and supported. Every colleague must be treated as a full and valued member of our family.
It is also important to understand how our experiences and personalities influence our perceptions and interactions with others; in addition to recognizing how cultural norms and various societal affiliations further impact perceptions, interpretations, values, and actions. These factors create a respectful and inclusive environment that enhances the educational experience by exposing and challenging us to consider the experiences and the perspectives of others. They also promote critical thinking, increases the ability to work together, and reduces harmful stereotypes.
Since our launch, Corps Security have embarked on a journey to raise awareness and presence within ED&I . This started with full suite of training, successfully delivered to our entire company for our day-to-day operators, back of office and Board level colleagues. This then very quickly ensured our Colleagues had access and completed the Securing Excellence Platform Module: Exploring Equality & Diversity. We thank all our colleagues who have reviewed and completed this module, where we are proud to boast of a national completion of 75% – so well done to all who have completed this!
Events, Celebratory Dates and Months have been identified and clearly communicated within our Corps Communications Calendar, available on Corps Connect for all colleagues. You may have seen the successful campaigns to date, including LGBTQ History Month in Feb 21; Pride month in June 21, and numerous wonderful faith celebrations across this time frame; with many more to come. Corps Together promises to ensure this information is open and fully available to our colleagues; where a dedicated area within Corps Connect has been created, ensuring our colleagues have full access to all information, including on how our colleagues can get involved!
While we have a diverse community at Corps Security, there is still much work to do. This year brings about changes within our business, with key activities, attention and respect being paid to all facets of ED&I across Corps Security. We hope the website will serve as a resource where you will be able to access information on our Guardian team, protected groups, calendar events & celebrations, charities and programs all related to ED&I.
We look forward to getting to know you, whether it is by your shared stories, connecting with our Guardians, assisting with our pipeline programs, or meeting you at different events.

Hopefully, you have seen all of our recent communication about our newly launched equality, diversity, and inclusion project ‘Corps Together’, which aims to unite all Corps colleagues to create a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
To help us drive this initiative and achieve our objectives, a group of passionate individuals have volunteered to become special ‘Guardians’.
Equality law within the UK protects us from discrimination on the basis of a number of ‘protected characteristics’, these include age, gender, race, disability, sexuality and religious beliefs. Corps Guardians will be focusing on these particular areas, taking personal responsibility for individual characteristics and how we can work with our colleagues to make Corps a better place to work.
