Ross Doolan
Hey! I am Ross, Monitoring Control Room Manager at Corps Monitoring Centre in Glasgow. I help set up and commission new sites that require monitoring for Intruder, Fire or Panic Alarms as well as CCTV.
I made the decision to join Corps after working in several security roles previously and I am glad I made the change. I have felt comfortable and at proud to be who I am, with support from colleagues and senior management. I know what it is like to be stereotyped, left out and discriminated against. This is why I volunteer as a Guardian, as I believe I can make a difference for our colleagues who don’t feel they have anyone to come forward to and talk.
The security industry is perceived to be a male only profession, I hope that with Corps Together, we can all work together no matter our gender, or sexual orientation. I am proud to be able to pass on my experiences to make a difference in the security industry.
