Celebrating Progress During National Inclusion Week 2024: #ImpactMatters

As National Inclusion Week 2024 kicks off, the theme #ImpactMatters gives us the perfect opportunity to reflect on the progress we’ve made in creating a diverse, inclusive, and supportive workplace for all our colleagues at Corps Security.

Through our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiative, Corps Together, we’ve made tangible changes, here’s a look at three major milestones that highlight our journey towards a more inclusive culture.

Promoting Disability Confidence

One of our EDI goals has been to improve disability awareness and promote a more inclusive workplace for all. In 2024, we rolled out Disability Awareness Training for our management team, providing them with the knowledge and understanding to support colleagues with disabilities.

Alongside this, we launched the Disability Buddy Scheme, which pairs colleagues to create a stronger sense of community.

By empowering our workforce to be disability confident, we’re taking steps towards an environment built on respect, understanding and awareness, where everyone feels comfortable to bring their authentic selves to work, everyday.

Our Colleague Networks

At cornerstone of our inclusion strategy are our Colleague Networks, which have continued to grow throughout 2024. These networks provide a safe and supportive environment for colleagues to share experiences and offer mutual support.

We’re proud to launch the fourth run of colleague networks which will take place between the end of September and throughout October.

Recognition at the Diversity Network Awards

We recently shared that Corps Together has been nominated for Outstanding Employee Network of the Year at the prestigious Diversity Network Awards. This recognition is testament to the hard work and passion of everyone involved in pushing our EDI initiative forward.

In addition to this, our very own Managing Director of Corps Monitoring, Andrea Strong recently took home the Technical Award at the Women in Security Awards, showing how we are breaking barriers across all levels of the business.

Continuing to Make an Impact

As we celebrate these milestones, we remain committed to driving further progress and making sure that inclusion remains a priority.

Seetan Varsani, Divisional Director and leader of the Corps Together initiative, shared, “We’ve made significant progress in the last year, and this is only the beginning. Our initiative has been integral in providing under-represented groups a platform to have their voice heard and share their experiences, that is invaluable, and we couldn’t do it without the support of our fellow colleagues.”

This National Inclusion Week, we invite you to join us in celebrating the progress we’ve made, where ‘Impact Matters’ isn’t just a hashtag but part of the fabric of what we do.
